Tube Wall Thickness Gauges Customized to Specific Applications

IMS tube wall thickness gauges measure tubes of all sizes with superior accuracy. These measuring systems, tailored to the requirements of each customer, position a radiation source (transmitter) opposite an ionization chamber (receiver). A measuring object (tube) located between the transmitter and receiver absorbs part of the radiation.

Residual radiation detected by the ionization chamber generates an electric current which is processed and digitized in a measuring transducer and sent to a central signal processing system for calculation of tube wall thickness.

IMS 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-channel measuring systems are ideal for measurements of smaller tubes, and the 5-, 9- and 13-channel gauges are best-suited to larger tubes.
